About the Opportunity

The Business Planning & Operations Manager II at Avaya oversees the development and implementation of support plans for the organization. This role is instrumental in shaping the overall organizational operating structure and is responsible for the development, administration, and tracking of the organization's expenses, capital budget (if applicable), and supporting business plans. The position requires compiling, analyzing, and publishing financial and/or operational results, providing business case development and analysis, and participating in cross-functional teams to establish procedures and improve processes.

  • Lead and Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive support plans for the organization.
  • Ensure alignment of support plans with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Participate in the development and refinement of the overall organizational operating structure.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure the operating structure supports business goals.
  • Develop, administer, and track the organization's expense and capital budgets.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
  • Compile, analyze, and publish detailed financial and operational reports.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial and operational results.
  • Lead the development and analysis of business cases to support strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure robust evaluation and presentation of business case scenarios.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to establish procedures and improve processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work on complex problems requiring the evaluation of intangible variance factors.
  • Anticipate and identify complex business needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Perform tasks with minimal direction and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Deliver results reviewed by senior management to ensure accuracy and alignment.
About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business planning, operations management, or a related role.
  • Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills.
  • Proven experience in business case development and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and scenarios.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and use of relevant software tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000 + 17% bonus.
