Product Engineer

The Product Engineer will be responsible for managing New Product Development (NPD) programs to introduce and launch strategic LED Life Safety Emergency products for growth in the North America market and sustain this existing product lines. You will lead global cross functional teams including Technology, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Product Management and Finance to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features.

What You'll Do:

• Launch projects on time, hitting all key milestones and commercial launch date
• Create clear, concise communications of goals, objectives, and project status through regular project meetings, NPD Pulsing and Milestone Reviews
• Own product and project documentation
• Oversee, direct, and participate in Product Development deliverables
• Proactively communicate and resolve issues
• Work with commercial team to Interface with customers regarding Voice of the Customer input
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing and Sourcing Teams to interface with suppliers
• Proactively identify the program's technical and financial risks in order to develop mitigation plans
• Drive projects to completion following Current's established NPI and PLM processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, Engineering Management, or other related degree
• 3+ years combined experience in program management/ product development in engineering
• Broad knowledge base in electrical and mechanical systems
• Demonstrated inclusive behavior with strong ability to connect with and influence team members
• Working knowledge of English

What We'd Love You to Have:

• Basic knowledge in lighting fundamentals, LED systems or electronics
• Experience in LED fixture design and launches
• Experience working with global teams
• Six Sigma background
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under limited supervision
• Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred

Compensation

L'ingnieur produit sera responsable de la gestion des programmes de dveloppement de nouveaux produits (NPD) pour introduire et lancer des produits stratgiques d'clairage de scurit LED d'urgence afin de stimuler la croissance sur le march nord-amricain et de maintenir les gammes de produits existantes. Vous dirigerez des quipes interfonctionnelles mondiales comprenant la technologie, l'approvisionnement, la chane d'approvisionnement, la qualit, le marketing, la fabrication, la gestion de produits et les finances afin de livrer des produits de qualit dans les dlais, dans le respect du budget et avec des fonctionnalits concurrentielles.

Responsabilits :

• Lancer des projets temps, en atteignant tous les jalons cls et la date de lancement commercial
• Crer des communications claires et concises des objectifs, des buts et de l'tat du projet par le biais de runions de projet rgulires, de bilans NPD et d'examens des jalons
• Grer la documentation des produits et des projets
• Superviser, diriger et participer aux livrables de dveloppement de produits
• Communiquer et rsoudre les problmes de manire proactive
• Travailler avec l'quipe commerciale pour interagir avec les clients concernant les commentaires de la Voix du Client
• Collaborer avec les quipes de qualit, de fabrication et d'approvisionnement pour interagir avec les fournisseurs
• Identifier de manire proactive les risques techniques et financiers du programme afin de dvelopper des plans d'attnuation
• Mener les projets terme en suivant les processus NPI et PLM tablis de Current

Qualifications :

• Diplme de Bachelor en sciences de l'ingnieur, en gestion de l'ingnierie ou un autre diplme connexe
• 3+ annes d'exprience combine en gestion de programmes/dveloppement de produits en ingnierie
• Connaissances approfondies des systmes lectriques et mcaniques
• Comportement inclusif dmontr avec une forte capacit tablir des liens et influencer les membres de l'quipe
• Connaissance pratique de l'anglais
