Position Summary:
ProFound Therapeutics is seeking a Head Protein Engineering to oversee and manage all work aimed at creating a pipeline of innovative antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and peptides based on targets originating from the dark proteome. The Head of Protein Engineering will report to the Chief Scientific Officer. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment and will provide the hands-on work necessary to design and create our innovative pipeline of pre-clinical and clinical assets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer innovative proteins and antibodies with therapeutic potential.
- Develop strategies to address difficult-to-drug targets.
- Manage collaborations with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to ensure project milestones are met.
- Utilize advanced protein engineering techniques and technologies.
- Analyze experimental data and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate protein engineering efforts into broader research initiatives.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of research activities.
- Present research findings and strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to scientific publications and patent applications.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience in protein discovery and engineering, including development and CMC aspects in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and software is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage CROs and external collaborations.
- Experience with challenging drug targets is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
