Metrology Programmer, Cybertruck, Quality

The Metrology Programmer Technician will work as a senior technical program lead member to metrology dimensioning engineering group in the quality organization. The successful candidate will work in the lab with different metrology equipment to program part level sub-assemblies as dictated by the dimensional control plan or diagnostic request from engineering. It is fundamental that the candidate has a strong background with interpreting GD&T part drawings, ability to program CMMs with Calypso or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Programming with Calypso
• CATIA or 3D CAD experience to work with native files as well as STEP andIGES.
• Liaise with Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teams
• Understand manufacturing processes for application in measurement studyrequirements
• Apply measurement best practices for special investigations
• Fully understand datum scheme requirements and applications along withGD&T
• Utilize metrology equipment to collect tactile and scan data and outputdetailed reports to communicate key findings

Requirements

• Inspection equipment experience: Bridge CMM
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GD&T application
• Experience in Calypso is a must
• Zeiss CMM and Zeiss O-Inspect experience preferred
• Experience with structured light scanning systems is a plus
• CAD: CATIA or 3D CAD experience
• Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
