POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Vice President of Business Development Worldwide will be responsible for leading and executing the company's global business development strategy. This role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities, establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the biotech industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in business development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global business development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to drive growth and expansion.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team to achieve business development targets.
  • Partnership Development:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, clients, and industry leaders.
    • Negotiate and finalize strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
    • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to inform business decisions.
  • Revenue Growth:
    • Drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing partnerships.
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and business development goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and finance, to align business development efforts with company objectives.
    • Ensure seamless integration and execution of business development initiatives across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate business development progress, opportunities, and challenges to the executive team and board of directors.
    • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on business development activities and outcomes.
  • Other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within the biotech industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading global business development initiatives and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong network of contacts within the biotech industry, including potential partners, clients, and industry leaders.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market opportunities into actionable business strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
