Overview

The Assistant Controller is a key member of the Finance management team. The Assistant Controller will be directly responsible for all general accounting activities in assigned areas and act as the expert in ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Will be responsible for building out the accounting systems and processes while performing and managing accounting tasks for this growing company. This includes working with international locations to help assure consistency and accuracy in assigned areas.

The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting with the accounting month-end close process, annual budgeting, and annual audit. Areas of focus include general accounting, software revenue recognition, and international consolidations. Additionally, review financial results and work with responsible parties to improve results for QSC. Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate an ability to identify areas of improvement within the accounting function and to be a change agent to help address opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies. Draft whitepapers and policy & procedures on a variety of accounting issues.

Base Pay Range 146k-200k

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance-related discipline (accounting, finance, business administration, economics)
  • CPA required
  • At least 2 years Big 4 experience
  • At least 7 years of Accounting progressively challenging experience within mid-size to large companies with high growth
  • Experience in using Oracle E-Business Suite R12 or similar ERP system.
  • Experience with consolidations with business intelligence tools such as Oracle EPM or Oracle Hyperion
  • This position has a high level of independence. It is expected that this role will help to improve QSC Accounting policies within the assigned area.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization and influence processes across multiple functions and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work closely with internal IT personnel. This role will work closely with the QSC IT team to implement finance business requirements into our Oracle ERP and reporting systems
