The AFRL Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RW), seeks to hire a mid-level DR-0180-02/DO-0343/1701-02 to serve as the Culture and Organizational Health Lead, Eglin AFB FL. in Valparaiso, Florida.

Position duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as an expert for RW-wide human capital efforts for culture & organizational health
  • Builds & leads teams to conduct comprehensive, authoritative, & responsive studies & analysis affecting the human capital lifecycle, culture, & organizational health
  • Encourages a positive working environment that engages & excites a diverse, world-class workforce
  • Maintains awareness of the current state of the field & advises leadership on relevant developments, processes, & tools
  • Leads change management efforts in support of an agile workforce
  • Actively supports the AFRL Chief of Organizational Research, Health & Development in implementing enterprise initiatives within RW

Required Qualifications

  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance
  • Ability to perform TDY travel approximately 25% or less time
  • Position is eligible for situational telework and will require routine mission travel, periodic classified engagements, and in-person meetings that cannot always be scheduled around a regular/recurring telework schedule. Employee must live within the commuting area of Eglin AFB.

    Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the DR/DO-01/GS-11 or equivalent grade level. Individuals must have one year of specialized experience which includes experience working with human capital and/or workforce initiatives AND experience leading or working within teams AND experience communicating with multiple different stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DR-DO-01 or GS-11 or equivalent).

  • In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11/DR/DO-01 in the Federal service (or equivalent in an alternate pay system).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams to accomplish culture-related mission objectives
  • Experience implementing and analyzing formal and informal organizational surveys such as the Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) and the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS)
  • Experience executing work within an Agile construct to include experience with sprint planning and relevant tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Experience leading workshops and implementing self-assessments to help build and strengthen teams within an organization
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills demonstrated with multiple stakeholders and at multiple organizational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that include the ability to influence action without formal supervisory responsibility
  • The ability to create a positive and engaging working environment that inspires performance from others
  • The ability to prioritize and execute multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree in a relevant area
