WORK SCHEDULE
- FULL-TIME; 40 hours per week
- Day Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
This individual will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering occupational therapy evaluation and intervention to patients referred by a licensed provider.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs COTAs, aides, students, and volunteers
Observes and evaluates treatment effect
Performs an appropriate evaluation on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided and reassessments as per protocol. This includes adolescent, geriatric patients and the general patient population
Assesses patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate
Has knowledge of occupational therapy interventions
Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department
Consults with other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities
Assists with orientation and in-service training, participates in guidance and educational programs
Assists in evaluation of staff including interviewing and hiring
Maintains productivity requirements
Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program AND successful completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination AND 18 months of professional occupational therapy experience.
OR Equivalent education/experience.
- Licensed by the state of Washington as an Occupational Therapist or has a valid probational certificate issued by the state of Washington to practice occupational therapy.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year of acute care experience
