ABOUT THE ROLE
The Chief of Staff will report to the VP of Operations at Hut 8 and play a crucial role in ensuring the company's strategic priorities are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal Chief of Staff will serve as a right-hand advisor, designing and executing growth initiatives, driving critical projects, and informing strategic decision-making to the VP of Operations. This role requires a high degree of business acumen, quantitative aptitude, analytical rigor, and end-to-end ownership of high-stakes initiatives.

This role requires a high degree of business acumen, quantitative aptitude, analytical rigor, and end-to-end ownership of high-stakes initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner to the VP of Managed Services, providing valuable analytical and qualitative insights.
- Structure, prioritize, and execute key initiatives for the business.
- Lead and manage special projects ranging from cross-functional initiatives to operation-specific needs.
- Attend key meetings with internal and external stakeholders, taking detailed notes and ensuring action items are executed.
- Own key projects and deliverables that drive the organization towards operational excellence.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Bitcoin mining and data center industries, identifying key market dynamics and trends.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on organizational OKRs, ensuring effective communication of objectives, accountability tracking, and progress presentation.
- Conduct research on organizational performance, diagnosing areas of improvement, and offering well-communicated insights and solutions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and tools to drive efficiency across the organization.
- Produce materials for internal and external stakeholders, including memos and presentations.
- Identify opportunities to train team members, elevate work products, and enhance processes and tools for greater impact and efficiency.
- And other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of related work experience, ideally in highly strategic, analytical, or operational roles.
- Experience with financial modeling and a background in Chief of Staff, investment banking, or management consulting is preferred.
- Agile and organized working style to manage and prioritize key initiatives.
- Detail-oriented strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and maintain high standards in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong EQ and professionalism as a representative of the VP of Operations
- Entrepreneurial and driven: runs through walls to get it done, and a track record of high efficiency/output.
- Ambition is a big part of the role. We want someone that can grow into a leader at this company, not an assistant.
- A strong orientation towards outcomes, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. This is not a standard 9-5 role, and a successful candidate will be expected to be available outside of normal working hours.
