Summary:

This role is for a talented Software Engineer with applied experience in building modern cloud services and web applications. The goal of this role is to develop key software systems for remote setup, management, and monitoring of our fleet of devices and ingestion, storage, visualization, and retrieval of data at a large scale. This engineer will work closely with senior software engineers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and subject matter experts to implement solutions for a wide range of challenging clinical problems in MRI aimed at improving patient outcomes. Across the organization they will make a significant contribution to the company's overall vision of developing cloud services with a delightful look and feel.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software systems and cloud applications with focus on maintenance, extensibility, integration, and security of data storage and retrieval.
• Quickly learn new tooling, platforms, and frameworks, when building and developing microservices and APIs.
• Adoption of new policies, technologies, and practices, as well as the evolution of existing methodologies.
• Optimize frameworks, pipelines, visualizations, dashboards, and systems to remotely manage devices and facilitate collection of business analytics and reports across different products or domains.
• Translate wireframes and sketches into HTML and CSS and collaborate with front-end and full-stack developers across the organization to drive company-wide excellence in user interaction.
• Implement comprehensive medical web application systems for multiple large-scale internal and external facing projects and document the design and specifications for internal and regulatory documentation.
• Participate in the code review process.

Knowledge and Skill:

• Building modern cloud services on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Backend web development, including best software engineering practices, efficient object-oriented software design, and building modern back-end systems (Python)
• Building and developing APIs and restful web services (Node.js, Flask/Nginx, Docker, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy)
• Front-end web development (Javascript, Typescript) and modern frameworks
• Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and collaborating to achieve common goals.
• Work effectively with diverse team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
• Ability to analyze ambiguous situations, identify potential challenges, and develop creative solutions with minimal guidance.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience working in a regulated environment.
• Working with Product and UI/UX designers, translating wireframes and requirements into web applications
• Knowledge of managing Elasticsearch indices, including index lifecycle policies, mappings, and settings

Education/Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience; or Masters Degree in Computer Science and 3+ years of experience; or equivalent work experience.
