Job Description
The successful candidate for this position will serve as a Discipline Lead or Area Lead with responsibility for HVAC, utilities and/or plumbing scope on assigned projects. Job duties include:
Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals
Develop and routinely monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, staffing forecasts, and progress
Develop/review project design criteria based on applicable local codes and client standards
Prepare/check design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings and ensure that they address all relevant project and regulatory requirements
Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, inspection, testing, acceptance, installation, and commissioning
Provide technical support in the development of permitting and subcontracting packages
Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
Mechanical or Architectural Engineering degree
Professional registration (PE License) in mechanical or other relevant engineering field
Advanced knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national codes and standards
Technical skills and industry experience as required to produce accurate, cost effective, and code compliant designs in accordance with project requirements
Ability to supervise and lead a diverse design team to work effectively with both internal and external organizations
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of four (4) years of experience working in a design role for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanical system design for semiconductor fabs or data centers
Life sciences & pharma industry experience
Drawing and modeling experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D or Smart 3D
Practical field experience related to the installation, start-up, and commissioning of HVAC, utilities and/or plumbing systems
