Job Description

Manage projects from concept, design, and financial justification through implementation within project

schedule and budget.
Analyze plant processes, design, and implement efficient and cost-effective improvements.
Explore new ways to automate systems, design of control solutions and implementation.
Provide solutions to integration challenges associated with plant equipment.
Manage multiple projects at one time to maximize facility support.
Complete projects as assigned and as they arise finding creative solutions to problems.
Provide project cost estimates, maintains project schedules, and coordinates related activities.
Create CAD layout of equipment, workflow, and assembly methods. Develop various equipment

programs,

Programable Logic Controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), etc. for

various manufacturing projects.
Provide support for automation, electrical, Computer Numeric Control (CNC), Programable Logic

Controller

(PLC) control issues (either on-site, by phone or on-line).
Provide unscheduled emergency troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment in the plant.
Maintain up to date and current back-up documentation of all electrical, electronic machine and

controller

programs and effectively communicate any changes to appropriate personnel.
Practices Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and follows safe electrical work practices - serves as a leader in safe

electrical working practices, teaching others to follow.
Perform other related duties as directed.

Not responsible for supervising employees

Requirements

Education Experience (Level of education AND years of experience are required):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering field
3+ years of manufacturing experience
Or Associate degree with 5+ years of related experience in the Engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications (Include qualifications that are desired but optional):
Automation, Electrical Systems, Industrial Controls, Electrical Engineering Degree.
Automation experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Includes needed certifications, systems knowledge, job skills, characteristics, competencies, etc.):
Project Management, Manufacturing Equipment Improvement, Safety, PLC programming, Variable

Frequency Drives (VFD), Robotics, read and decipher electrical/mechanical prints, proficient with AutoCAD

software products. Dataview/Labview
Ability to work with mathematical and algebraic concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and

forecasting. Ability to apply and analyze concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions

to practical situations.
Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to

create,

maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to

support business objectives.
Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others. Decisions impact the management and operations within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents, and practices. Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously with moderate complexity. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment (i.e. lifting demands, travel requirements, etc.): While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
