This position is located in Huntsville, AL

Essential Functions:
  • Directs the organization and performance of a program and the activities of managers assigned to the program
  • Serves as the principal interface to the customer's executive leadership; maintains an effective relationship with the Contracting Officer
  • Oversees the business activities to ensure a high standard of professional excellence is maintained among employees
  • Directs business functions including approval of overall project plan, budget, and work breakdown structure
  • Establishes and implements short and long-term strategies to deliver services to customers within reasonable schedules and budgets
  • Establishes and communicates goals and objectives, defines methodologies, tasks, and activities, and clearly describes roles and responsibilities for performing to personnel. Communicates broadly to help ensure overall coordination for cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for developing and executing processes, tools, business models, and organizational structures to optimize the allocation of resources to accomplish multiple sustainment and modernization projects
  • Oversees/ensures developed measurable, time-phased plans to systematically improve and expand processes and capabilities


Required Skills:
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time criticality
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, strong presentation and organizational skills, executive presence, and a keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as six-sigma, lean, root cause and corrective action, failure modes effects analysis, and process failure modes and effects analysis
  • Ability to develop customer and program-enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations, including Contracts, Finance Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, IT/Cyber Security and other support functions
  • Strong analytical abilities: ability to plan, control and direct activities and resources related to planning and scheduling
  • Strong team problem solving skills
  • Ability to lead in the development of the Annual Operating Budget each fiscal year

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, business or related discipline, including master's degree
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of relevant senior leadership and program manager experience with DoD programs
  • Demonstrated experience to include capability to lead project development from inception to deployment completion
  • Demonstrated experience in management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity
  • Demonstrated experience as a change agent, able to energize organizations to achieve beyond expectations
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense and US Army contracting and project management processes desired
  • Experiencing managing an organization that handles classified information
  • Experience with space launch and/or test range systems, a plus
  • Experience managing a business in the aerospace industry, a plus
  • Previous experience on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands in support of the Reagan Test Site (RTS) desired

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to attain higher level clearance
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required
  • Valid U.S. Passport required
  • Must be physically present and able to travel to work locations on a regular basis
