Are you an independent compensation consultant with a passion for transforming complex data into powerful insights? Do you want to play a pivotal role in guiding organizations to optimize their compensation structures and practices ? If this sounds like you, then we have the perfect opportunity!

This is a virtual role for an independent consultant. You'll be a key player in our diverse team of subject matter experts who deliver high-impact consulting and analytical support to our clients. You'll work closely with senior leadership, leveraging your advanced skills to craft data-driven solutions that elevate compensation functions across industries.

What You'll Do:
  • Deliver Effective Compensation Support: Engage in compensation survey job matching, integrate compensation data into Excel models and ensure data accuracy through reconciliation and validation.
  • Analyze and Optimize: Use your advanced Excel skills to build and refine models with functions like vlookup, pivot tables, index and match, and more. Conduct in-depth data analysis to assess market competitiveness including build summary tables, and generate detailed analysis that guide evidence-based decisions. Engage in advanced analysis, including costing, scenario modeling, and regression..
  • Visualize and Present: Create compelling PowerPoint presentations and visuals, including charts and graphs, to effectively communicate data-driven insights to clients.
  • Collaborate: Participate in both internal and client meetings, delivering well-structured presentations at the Director/Manager level. Take ownership of tasks, manage workflows, and prioritize work to meet client and internal deadlines.
  • Research and Innovate: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and evaluating proven and leading frameworks, models, and approaches to enhance compensation strategy and delivery.


What You'll Bring:
  • Compensation Expertise: A solid working knowledge of Compensation and HR principles, including job evaluation, market benchmarking and salary structure design, with the ability to apply them in client settings.
  • A Solutions Mindset: A deep interest in providing solutions and advice that help organizations improve their compensation functions.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Expertise in data management and analysis, evidence-based decision making, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data management/verification, complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, charts, and graphs. Experience with PowerBI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Adaptability and Awareness: Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, combined with the ability to "read the room" and address complex situations using proven practices.
  • A Commitment To Collaboration: Proven ability to follow established and proven methodologies and frameworks while contributing to the team's overall success in addressing clients' unique needs and goals.


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Ideally 5+ years in professional services and/or a corporate setting.
  • Certifications: A related designation (CHRL, CCP) or post-grad (MBA, PhD) is an asset.
