This role resides in our Cyber department and reports to our Program Manager. This position is located in Quantico, VA with a 10% travel requirement.

SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Our successes are supported by our diverse team of experienced, technical talent. Core Responsibilities:
  • The Network Engineer provides technical leadership in the planning, investigations, design and implementation of physical and logical communications solutions having network wide impact.
  • The Network Engineer is responsible for the overall integration of services delivery arrangements involving LANs, MANs, and WANs including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management and coordination of agency LAN/MAN/WAN interfaces with the customer's telecommunications service providers.
  • The Network Engineer plans, designs, implements, test, and supports network solutions between multiple platforms.
  • The Network Engineer conducts security audits and assessments.
  • The Network Engineer develops detailed network diagrams and documentation.
  • The Network Engineer shall have 8 years of experience designing, architecting and supporting both CISCO and Linux routing enterprise systems. The Network Engineer shall have 5 years of experience planning, and analyzing LANs, overseeing the implementation and test/troubleshooting activities, reviewing and approving changes/modifications to the design and implementation, documenting the installed system, and recommending and operating the network management and control systems to maintain the LAN HW and SW. The Network Engineer shall have experience working with operating systems and protocols such as CISCO IOS and NX-OS, Linux routing technologies, open shortest path first (OSPF)/Border Gateway protocol (BGP) and VMWare Virtualization.
  • CCNA is preferred

Required Skills and Experience:
  • The Network Engineer shall have 8 years of experience designing, architecting and supporting both CISCO and Linux routing enterprise systems.
  • The Network Engineer shall have 5 years of experience planning, and analyzing LANs, overseeing the implementation and test/troubleshooting activities, reviewing and approving changes/modifications to the design and implementation, documenting the installed system, and recommending and operating the network management and control systems to maintain the LAN HW and SW.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, CIS or a Masters in Computer Science or similar degree.
  • CCNA Preferred

Additional Details:
  • Job Location: Quantico, Virginia
  • Clearance Requirement: Current Top Secret with ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  • Travel: up to 10%
