Job Summary: Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the districts Human Resources Department.

Qualifications:
  • Must hold a NJ Principal Certification or School Administrator Certification or be willing and eligible to obtain.
  • Must have previous successful administrative experience, preferably at the district level.
  • 3 years human resources experience preferred.
  • Possess strong ability to lead in a collaborative, team environment.
  • Possess knowledge of NJ Department of Education Certification and Licensing code and Tenure code.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of TEACHNJ and ACHIEVE NJ.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws.
  • Experience managing all aspects of the wrap around services provided to employees including pension and benefits.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large data systems with a strong backgorund in technoglogy and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess strong human relations, problem solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Location: Central Office

Working Conditions: 12 month position, with benefits

Effective September 1, 2011, all employees of school districts must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under law. If you already work for the school district as of September 1, 2011, and you do not live in New Jersey, you are not required to move to New Jersey. However, if you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your office, position or employment.
