The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network design, implementation, and management, with a strong background in supporting military network operations. The Senior Network Engineer/Architect is responsible for solving complex technical network convergence challenges with a deep understanding of network protocols, security measures, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve mission-critical objective in support of ARCYBER / NETCOM and its Theater Signal Commands/Brigades.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

The Senior Network Engineer/Architect is responsible for solving complex technical network convergence challenges with a deep understanding of network protocols, security measures, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve mission-critical objective in support of ARCYBER / NETCOM and its Theater Signal Commands/Brigades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct network convergence planning for the integration of disparate ORGNET architectures and the implementation of service delivery strategies.
- Produce papers, presentations, and recommendations as required for the government.
- Develop implementation guidance, plans, and tasking orders for ORGNET convergence actions.
- Analyze existing telecommunications, systems, networks and equipment to comprehend ORGNET infrastructures, interpret user service delivery requirements and document "As-Is" and develop "To-Be" architectures to support network convergence.
- Facilitate effective working groups, with specific emphasis on converging Army networks and services onto the DoDIN-A, while establishing the necessary actions for transitioning the future Operations and Maintenance (O&M) responsibilities from organizations to ARCYBER.
- Utilize existing software and records systems in order to comprehend organizational computing environments and associated administrative procedures to facilitate future O&M transition discussions.
- Evaluate and assess organizational network security postures and provide recommendations to facilitate the future employment of technical solutions and processes to prevent, detect and manage cyber threats
- Maintain awareness of ongoing Army and NETCOM modernization programs and initiatives to ensure incorporation into ORGNET Convergence planning
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA. Will consider HS + 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have a DoD 8570.01 certification at IAT level II or higher with minimum of CCNA or equivalent networking certification OR experience that demonstrates knowledge and skills in network fundamentals and access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals
- Requires a minimum of a Top Secret clearance with the eligibility to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- DoD Clearance TS SCI.
- Have advanced-level knowledge in system and network engineering, integration, project management skills, and management and administration experience within the Army
- Proficiency with network implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Certifications in relevant network technologies (e.g. CCNP, JNCIP, or higher
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team using various remote and in-person means of communication
- Possess a working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) framework principles, cloud computing servicing models, best business practices, cybersecurity disciplines, service desk support/operations, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF), Software Defined Networking (SDN), DoD regulatory requirements and Army organizational constructs.
- Possess a conceptual understanding of Joint Information Environment (JIE), Global Enterprise Network Modernization - Americas (GENM-A), Global Enterprise Network Modernization - OCONUS (GENM-O), and Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) programs in order to interpret, characterize and perform detailed analysis and provide consultation services to facilitate ARCYBER DoDIN Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet)/Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) ORGNET convergence and enterprise IT end-state objectives.
- Have experience with Data Center and application management, MS Office software suites
- Degree in network or systems, computer engineering or computer science
