The Role
Headlands Research Brownsville is looking for a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about clinical trials and patient safety, has the accountability and motivation to complete time-sensitive duties ahead of schedule, and has an extremely high attention to detail.
Type: Full-time, fully benefitted
Schedule: 5x8-hour days per week
Clinic Hours: Mondays through Fridays, regular business hours

Responsibilities
- Provides patient consultations and education in an outpatient setting under the direction of the physician in charge of the clinical trial
- Conducts study-related physical exams and follow-up visits
- Reviews and adheres to assigned research study protocol
- Works with the study-leading physician in evaluation and review of potential study participants' eligibility
- Maintains proper documentation
- Ensures that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with established research protocol and standards in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members
- Reviews lab results imaging reports, and other study-specific reports
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Master's Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current and unencumbered license to practice as an NP or PA in the state of Texas required
- Must have at least one full year of work experience as an advanced provider
- Previous experience in the clinical research industry preferred
- Previous experience with direct hands-on patient care preferred
