Essential Job Functions:
  • Partner with divisional leadership to understand, implement and monitor key initiatives that will enhance the client experience and improve team productivity
  • Develop and oversee training strategy and initiatives for the team
  • Identify business initiatives that can improve the client experience and promote operational excellence
  • Assign and direct the workflow of team members, and coordinate with other functional areas inside and outside the department
  • Set, train and monitor quality and quantity standards for the team
  • Facilitate 1:1 and lead tactical team meetings at least once a month
  • Continuously communicate with each team member, promoting and encouraging a positive team atmosphere, and addressing team issues promptly
  • Assist Vice President of Operations in preparation of budgets and support revenue and budget goals
  • Annually evaluate workflows and processes in order to accurately align resources according to matrix, improve efficiency and improve the client experience. Document annual process changes and communicate and manage after implementation
  • Utilize strategic planning tools and concepts, including roadmaps and dashboards, to manage projects and tasks, which includes effectively communicating, delegation and reprioritizing as needed, in addition to removing obstacles collaboratively with appropriate colleagues
  • Assist with client experience initiatives, to include identifying business requirements, analyze industry solutions, project time, cost, technology and overall resources needed
  • Partner with the appropriate colleagues to ensure systems and processes are complimentary and support both company and divisional standards and goals
  • Collaborate with third parties (i.e. insurance carriers, third party vendors) to identify new capabilities, create/manage implementation plans, and monitor ongoing initiatives to ensure success
  • Travel to and collaborate with regional offices as needed to ensure alignment in processes, initiatives, and practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Credentials:
  • A four-year degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred
  • Four years of experience in insurance operations preferred
  • Experience in an Insurance Agency Account Manager role is required
  • P&C, L/A&H Insurance licenses required or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment; maintain annually

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills - must be able to manage projects and time independently
  • Ability to manage and coordinate heavy and uneven workloads
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects
  • Knowledge of insurance terms and documents
  • Ability to analyze and interpret insurance data
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
