As part of our continued success, Landau Associates is seeking a Water Resources Scientist/Engineer/Hydrogeologist. The selected candidate will have the option to work a hybrid work schedule in any one of five office locations (Seattle, Tacoma, Kingston, or Olympia, Washington or Portland, Oregon).
Our water resources team assists both public and private clients with water rights related work, water supply development, hydrogeologic characterization and stormwater infiltration. Our projects include water rights compliance, due diligence, portfolio management, groundwater modeling, aquifer testing, wellhead protection, and well installation in the Pacific Northwest. We will support you in choosing what type of water resources skills you want to develop within our group. Our growing team is a small group of technical professionals with a diverse range of backgrounds who share a strong passion for all things water related!

Landau Associates offers an excellent compensation and benefits package in an environment that promotes personal growth and professional advancement. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, performance, location, and internal equity. Depending on your background, your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting fieldwork for groundwater and surface water monitoring
- Writing and reviewing reports and technical memos
- Interpreting and analyzing hydrologic and hydrogeologic data
- Designing and testing production wells
- Completing hydrogeologic characterizations
- Surface water and groundwater modeling
- Assisting with water rights applications, portfolio management, and due diligence assessments
- Attending and presenting at professional development events
- Managing projects, team members and interacting with clients
- Collaborating with other disciplines within Landau (Permitting and Engineering Design, Environmental Remediation, Air & Noise)
- Coordinating with regulatory agencies (e.g. WA Department of Ecology, USBR), irrigation districts, local governments, and other entities
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, hydrogeology, geology, geography, water policy degree or a related field
- Reliability and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic (for entry level) to advanced (for mid-level) knowledge of soil and groundwater concepts
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Washington State water rights
- GIT or EIT preferred (for entry level) or LHG or PE preferred (for mid-level)
- 1 to 7 years of applicable experience
