The Opportunity:

Make your mark while you grow your career! As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for supervising and developing employees to contribute to the successful development and operation of Canadian Natural's Conventional Operations.
  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:
  • Oversee and drive the activities and resources required to execute the procurement and contract management process including scope development, supply market research and positioning, requests for proposals/quotations, evaluations, negotiations and the award of contracts and agreements
  • Balance business unit requests with the joint identification of strategic initiatives for long range value creation and overall cost reductions.
  • Support the team in liaising with legal, risk, finance, accounting, internal client business units, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain and align team workloads, outputs and processes to ensure that team efforts contribute to and align with wider business objectives and practices while ensuring accurate and consistent reporting of activity.
  • Contribute to hiring, performance reviews and performance management of your team
  • Create a positive work environment that encourages the development and empowerment of employees.

What You Bring to the Role:
  • 15+ years of related industry experience with 5+ years working in Lead positions and post-secondary education.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Developing and leading teams.
    • Oil and Gas Conventional Operations as well as Environmental and Laboratory services.
    • Category management, contract formation and contract administration, and internal customer service.
    • Extensive experience negotiating Terms and Conditions within Contracts.
    • Computer enterprise systems such as Maximo & Ivalua.
