The Clemson University School of Architecture invites applications for a Professor of Practice to teach City and Regional Planning and additional courses in their area of expertise beginning August 15, 2024.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience and expertise in City and Regional Planning education and research but will also be expected to contribute to the broader life and goals of the school, which includes but is not limited to the following:
Need advanced GIS training (preferably GIS certification) and terminal degree (preferably Ph.D.) in planning/environment-related field to teach core graduate and required undergraduate Minor classes in the City and Regional Planning program.
The job requires modest graduate student advising for master-level thesis research.
GIS lab management skills. The CRP program currently has 21 machines in a state-of-the-art teaching GIS Lab. The GIS Lab is used for teaching graduate and undergraduate GIS classes and provides computing home-based for MCRP student thesis research and class group research projects.
Work closely with CRP faculty in community/extension research and service to regional government agencies in the Clemson / Greenville metropolitan area.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements for these positions include a Master's Degree in City Regional Planning.
