Reporting to the EPIXC Chief Operating Officer and under general administrative direction, the Senior Project Manager Research will plan, organize, and execute the management of multiple concurrent complex research projects spanning various disciplines across multiple institutions and/or companies to ensure articulation of project scope, control of expectations, deliverables, outcomes, issues, and needs and constraints involved to achieve program goals within regulatory approval.

Flexible work options:
- Alternative work schedules can include four, 10-hour workdays in a workweek; a nine-day, 80-hour schedule over two workweeks for exempt employees only; and staggered start and stop times.
- Hybrid work is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of 60% of their regular workweek at their primary ASU work location. Dean or vice president-level approval is required.
- Remote work is an arrangement where the employee spends less than 60% of their regular workweek at a regularly assigned ASU work location. Executive vice president-level approval is required.
Standard Working Environment:
- Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position.

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in science, engineering or related field, and five (5) years of related administrative experience OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Evidence of relevant certification is a plus.
- Knowledge and ability to collaboratively develop request for proposals for internal and external funding of projects.
- Knowledge and ability related to planning, budgeting, implementing, reporting and evaluating projects.
- Knowledge of processes for dissemination of results through reports, presentations and publications.
- Knowledge and skills in the use of project management software.
- Skill in effectively communicating relevant project/practice information to superiors and peers.
- Effective communication skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.

Essential Duties
- Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects through complete task and milestone definition and work requirement identification and mapping. Supports ASUs relationships with industry members, research and administrative personnel, institutions, and funding agencies.
- Supports development of policy relating to projects and program management. Works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to define project scope, strategy, budget, and outcomes; identifies critical resource expertise and targets appropriate internal and/or external sources to ensure optimal outcome(s).
- Prepares and maintains project status reports and schedules; tracks milestones/deliverables, critical paths and dependencies.
- Responds to inquiries regarding project status; prepares and responds to all regulatory reporting/filings to ensure compliance.
- Prepares all post-project reports and filings to ensure timely dissemination of information to all interested parties. Works collaboratively to establish and maintain positive working relationships with outside organizations and universities
- Reviews high-level deliverables for adherence to budget, time and resource requirements; identifies out of scope and/or other obstacles to successful achievement of objective(s). Organizes and consults with management to coordinate training and monitor observation efforts, as well as discuss noted findings.
- Oversees the evaluation of effectiveness of programs/projects to develop and implement goals and objectives including: improved methods of program/project delivery; evaluation methodology design and implementation including analysis of results and takes or recommends proper action based on outcomes.
- Establishes and maintains liaison with regional, state or national organizations as appropriate.
