Senior Accountant

Job Description
Analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and obtain financial information for use in preparing financial reports. Is mainly responsible for Account Reconciliations and sales tax compliance for the e-commerce business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for Account Reconciliations for e-commerce business. Reconcile the data extracted from the global system and match with the ERP system for the sales and inventory.
• Sales (Identify sales and presales transactions).
• Cash (Identify payment type of sales, sales tax, bank and other fees, etc).
• Inventory.
• Review and analyze e-commerce related financial transactions.
• Review sales transactions generated by the global system (e-commerce) and ERP system.
• Review use tax applicable transactions.
• Prepare sales tax return or equivalent tax to various states (currently 8 and will grow up to 50).
• Month-end close process, including preparing and booking journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, inter-companies and some income statement account reconciliations.
• Assistance in financial statement preparation.
• Support the semi-annual review and year-end audit process, providing supporting documents and pulling source data for specific areas requested from external auditor.
• Assistance in preparation for the quarterly financial reports to the parent company.
• Assistance in preparation for local and federal government reports on a quarterly and /or yearly basis.
• Assistance in preparation for royalty report.
• Any ad hoc special projects as needed.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS degree.

EXPERIENCE AND WORK REQUIREMENTS

• Direct-to-consumer, e-commerce accounting and sales tax experience.
• 3 - 5 Years of experience required.
