Title: Enterprise Architect - Marketing & Sales Portfolio and Systems Integration Horizontal

Job Type: FTE is preferred but open to C2H

Location: Markham, ON (3-days on site, occasionally more)

Team size: currently 1 but will be up to 3

Must Haves:
  • Tech Stack: Tibco and Mulesoft
    - Heavy emphasis on moving away from Tibco and going towards Mulesoft
  • The architecture is already established, need someone who can enhance and refine the practices (again, working on standardizing the architecture)
  • Extensive System Integration experience
  • Should be comfortable leading strategic initiatives and support the business
  • Enterprise Architecture certifications in TOGAF, Zachman, and ArchiMate preferred
This position combines business, technology, leadership, and modeling skills to create alignment between the business and technology disciplines. The Enterprise Architect is a facilitative leader that creates long term, architectural capacity within the organization by guiding and coaching both business professionals and technologist through the practice of enterprise architecture. Partnering with business and technology stakeholders, the Enterprise Architect is responsible for creating current state and transition state models of the enterprise portfolio.

  • Contributes to the definition of architectural principles that guide the application of technology within the enterprise
  • Contributes to the definition of the enterprise's strategic technology roadmap by representing the alignment of technology to the strategic needs of the enterprise portfolio
  • Executes the analysis of industry technology trends that are of possible value to the enterprise portfolio or horizontal specialty
  • Defines the organization's technology strategy for the horizontal specialty
  • Builds strong partnerships with the business and technology stakeholders of the enterprise portfolio
  • Facilitates discussions with business and technology stakeholders to understand how the current systems support the business functions of the enterprise portfolio
  • Cultivates transformational and incremental opportunities for improving the positioning of systems that support the business functions of the enterprise portfolio
  • Presents strategic and tactical cross domain and intersystem solution design options and recommendations to decisions makers for decision
  • Mediates intersystem design decisions like functional placement and integration that define or cross system boundaries
  • Captures the current state and transition state architectures of the enterprise portfolio through the definition of views and models
  • Facilitates the evaluation of technology products being procured for the enterprise portfolio
  • Manages the definition of technology standards applicable to the technologies of the enterprise portfolio
  • Manages the definition of lifecycles for technologies that comprise the enterprise portfolio
  • Coaches and guides technologist on intra system design decisions

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Experience leading the architectural direction of an enterprise portfolio
  • Experience leading the architectural definition of a business intelligence and data platform initiative
  • Experience creating and maintaining the architectural views and models for an enterprise portfolio
  • Experience leading the design of an enterprise system
  • Enterprise Architecture certifications in TOGAF, Zachman, and ArchiMate preferred
