As Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth through resiliency, microgrid, and energy management solution sales. The successful candidate will possess a 4-year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years of work experience in energy, industrials, or a related field. An advanced degree in business is preferred.
This role will be largely independent, with minimal day-to-day direction, without designated territories or customers. The Director of Business Development will be required to actively create, advance and close new Commercial and Industrial customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute business development strategies and publish go-to-market-plans to drive revenue growth for our microgrid solutions, focusing on technical
solution sales involving resiliency, energy management, and energy market participation.
Identify and pursue new project and program opportunities across end-user segments and geographic regions.
Become the Subject Matter Expert in assigned sales segments.
Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to develop a deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and industry trends within
the ERCOT and PJM markets
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including end-users, developers, utility companies, independent power producers (IPPs), and
system operators.
Understand the design and operation of natural gas and diesel microgrids, providing expert knowledge and technical insights to customers during the sales
process.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, project management, and marketing, to ensure the alignment of sales strategies
with overall business objectives.
Stay abreast of policy changes in the deregulated electric markets in the United States, with familiarity in the ERCOT and PJM regions, understanding market
structures, regulations, and key players.
Develop strong relationships with retail electric providers (REPs) within the ERCOT and PJM regions to explore partnership opportunities and expand our market
presence.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to potential customers, highlighting the unique value proposition of our
microgrid solutions.
Coordinate the negotiation of contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and customers within the ERCOT and
PJM markets.
Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management, highlighting key sales metrics, opportunities, and challenges within the
ERCOT and PJM markets.
Requirements:
A minimum of a 4-year technical degree in a relevant field.
5 years' work experience in energy, industrials, or a related field.
Understanding of the value of electrical resiliency for various end-user verticals, including but not limited to commercial, industrial, distribution, retail healthcare,
and educational sectors.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint and Salesforce.
