The Department of Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking an established, residency-trained, board certified/eligible Academic Emergency Physician to join our dynamic practice. Competitive candidates will have a national presence and a demonstrated track record of scholarship, leadership, and collaboration in academic emergency medicine.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Practice in a busy, high-acuity academic ED within an ACS-verified Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, managing 85,000 total annual visits, including 15,000 pediatric visits.
- Work in a newly expanded and renovated, state-of-the-art ED and Pediatric ED.
- Treat a diverse patient population with high medical complexity and acuity.
- Collaborate with accomplished colleagues dedicated to high-value patient care, education, and research.
- Engage in research opportunities with excellent administrative support, access to statistical expertise, and numerous opportunities for intramural funding.
- Partner with system engineers, analysts, programmers, and designers from the Center for the Science of Healthcare Delivery to study and optimize ED operations.
- Be part of an integrated network of 21 Emergency Departments across the upper Midwest, and collaborate with colleagues in Florida and Arizona.
- Teach in outstanding educational programs, including the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education Emergency Medicine Residency and the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
- Maximize educational efforts in the world-class Multidisciplinary Simulation Center and Center for Procedural Skills Mastery.
