The Senior Project Manager oversees project management staff within the Markets to ensure the successful implementation of programs, clinic startups/divestures and initial assimilation of providers into IPM. In addition, they manage local issues related to practice acquisition projects in conjunction with the local senior leadership team. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership and direction to the project management staff during project implementations and ensures timely communication to stakeholders on key deadlines. Functions as a consultant on initiatives and provides solutions to maximize available resources. Works collaboratively with physicians, practice managers/administrators and staff, hospital leadership, and market leadership to support the market's strategic growth and program development. Functions as a consultant on initiatives and provides solutions to maximize available resources. They must be able to successfully communicate across a wide spectrum of audiences, lead change initiatives, have strong financial and organizational skills and be able to function effectively with multiple priorities. This position reports to the Regional Market Director.

Position Summary:

  • Ensure the successful implementation of programs, clinic startups/divestures along with initial assimilation of providers into IPM. Serves as the point of contact for Corporate Real Estate for the assigned region.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the project management staff during project implementations and ensures timely communication to stakeholders on key deadlines. Manages major Capital Appropriation & Project Authorization & Cost requests for the assigned region.
  • Functions as a consultant on initiatives and provides solutions to maximize available resources. Works collaboratively with physicians, practice managers/administrators and staff, hospital leadership, and market leadership to support the market's strategic growth and program development.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to all team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion while maintaining weekly reporting on project status.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Implements protocols to ensure IPM standardization and compliance of the integration process.
  • Conducts project retrospective reviews and creates a recommendation reports in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Integrates new practices and coordinates the planning and launch of acquisitions to ensure seamless transition for patients, physicians, and employees. Works with initially with management to achieve cultural integration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health or Business Administration along with a professional certification in project coordination is required. A Master's degree in health or business administration and/or certification by the American College of Medical Practice Executives is preferred.

Work experience :
  • Three to five years of physician practice business leadership experience or healthcare management experience is required.
