Job Title: Director of Security

Location: Willoughby Golf Club, Stuart, Florida

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Security to oversee all aspects of security operations within our prestigious private gated community. The Director of Security will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, guests, and property assets. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to the needs of the gated community.
• Manage a team of security personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Coordinate and conduct regular patrols of the community to monitor activities and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Implement access control measures to safeguard the community against unauthorized entry.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services to respond to incidents effectively.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and perimeter fencing.
• Prepare and maintain security budgets, forecasts, and reports for management review.
• Foster a culture of safety and security awareness among residents, staff, and vendors through education and communication.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Director of Security, Assistant Director or similar role, preferably in a private residential or gated community setting.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures, including access control, surveillance, and emergency response.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations and effectively resolve conflicts.
• Solid understanding of local laws and regulations related to security operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) and training in security management practices.
