About the Position
The Financial Analyst II works closely with the Finance team to help conduct financial planning and analysis. This role will also assist with developing plans to improve the business. The tasks performed will vary from day to day, including support with various projects on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial/operational reports and write clear and concise variance explanations.
- Convert and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information.
- Develop and enhance management reports to allow business leaders visibility to current trends for developing and deploying short- and long-term plans to improve profitability and operating results.
- Serve as a Qlik super user responsible for the continued development of reports to assist management in understanding operating results and trends.
- Develop and enhance budgeting and forecasting tools.
- Conduct research on economic and business conditions, industry trends, and the impact on operations, summarizing findings to report to business leaders.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior related experience of 6 years, preferably within a corporate accounting/finance environment.
- Financial planning and analysis experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of financial statements.
- Ability to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and time-management capabilities.
- Communicates effectively and proactively, with strong written communication skills.
- Proficient MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel).
- High level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
- Flexible to changing priorities with a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Customer-oriented mindset.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of experience in finance or accounting or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
