About The Role
Humane is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to join our talented Software Engineering Program Management team to drive end to end new products, features and strategic initiatives across software, cloud and hardware to achieve our strategic and business goals. By executing and overseeing multiple related projects across device, web, software, backend services, consumer services, e-commerce, factory, ops design, and many more cross-functional teams, an experienced Lead EPM will help drive strategic projects from start to finish as well as manage roadmaps for diverse teams and portfolios. The Lead EPM achieves this by being highly collaborative, very detail-oriented, insightful, driven to manage project risk, always "closing the loop" and applying both project and product management skill sets.

What You Might Do
- Work directly with various Heads of Engineering and their teams to own and drive roadmaps that impact Humane Ai Pin, Humane.Center, Humane Network and other Humane consumer services present and future.
- Work with cross functional teams across software, hardware, design, product marketing, cloud, infrastructure, factory, ops, QA and many more to lead and coordinate the development of features across various platforms.
- Work with the Head of Software Program Management to develop roadmaps and provide visibility into critical work streams to be prioritized by the leadership team (C-Suite and Heads of...)
- Develop dashboards and reporting to share the technical health of device experiences development and progress.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful product launches that meet user needs and business goals.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience, with a strong preference for candidates with diverse professional backgrounds.
- 10+ years of experience in Program Management for multi-platform product development space.
- Experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects, regardless of industry or technical domain.
- Lead teams with a focus on inclusive collaboration and consensus-building.
- Proven track record for understanding and communicating technical/engineering issues to various stakeholders.
- You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, the power of consensus building, being able to pivot and find success and leading the team towards the company's vision/goals

Preferred Skills
- Experience working on 0-1 products and cutting-edge technology in the AI space, with a self-starting attitude toward creating processes and advocating for the importance of new tools, processes, and methods.
- Ability to manage projects that span multiple domains, with comfort in shifting between technical and strategic challenges across software, hardware, and cloud services.
- Experience in developing features where defining metrics and methodologies to measure product performance was required.
- Proven ability to create test strategies and drive initiatives to improve software quality and testing processes.
- Familiarity with industry trends and directions.
- Strong skills as a consensus builder, diplomat, and influencer within a software organization.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a passion for tackling unique challenges and opportunities in software development for consumer products.
- Excitement about the opportunity and responsibility to collaborate with teams across a full stack, from user interface to low-level infrastructure layer.
- Desire to work in a rapid development environment, with the ability to remain flexible and thrive amid continuous development.

- Familiarity with multiple product and project development disciplines, methodologies, and dependencies, and an understanding of how they interact.
- Experience in shipping web experiences in the B2C space.
