Description:
Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) seeks a talented and goal-oriented individual to join our team. The selected candidate will work closely with contractor and NASA staff to contribute to coordinating the work of many specialists, advises on planning, design, and implementation and controls the installation and maintenance of hardware and software, contributing towards ensuring that the capacity, reliability, and availability of computing facilities meet the requirements of the organization.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree (M.S.) and a minimum of 12 years' experience in lifecycle phases and associated reviews and testing, and requirements analysis, design, and development of relevant systems.
- Must understand all relevant systems engineering principles and methodology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Guides work with senior engineers in evaluating factors such as number of users serviced by data processing system, reporting formats required, volume of transactions, time requirements and cost constraints, and need for security and access restrictions to determine hardware configurations.
- Plays a leading role in the development of procedures and standards for organization-wide IT infrastructure.
- Manages systems trade studies to facilitate systems design. Ensures compliance with standard practices.
