Job Summary:
As the Operations Director, you will oversee the efficient and effective management of our operations. You will be responsible for all governance aspects of an Integrated Clinical and Health Services Centre (ICHSC), including financial management, clinical and educational operations, quality management, and human resources. Your primary goal is to ensure patient-centered service delivery while upholding the highest standards of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Management:
    • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all operational aspects.
    • Directly manage department leads for Nuclear Technologists and Cardiovascular Technicians.
    • Foster relationships with physicians to ensure satisfaction with Nuclear diagnostic services.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient services through active involvement and effective staff and physician communication.
    • Update and maintain procedure manuals related to operating procedures, patient services, staff training, and health & safety.
    • Continuously monitor workflow, recommend improvements, and adapt operational procedures to enhance service quality and capacity utilization.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with Accreditation Canada, CNSC, ISHSCA standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee quality management programs, including monitoring and maintaining records.
    • Manage equipment maintenance programs, safety checks, and support services like IT and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Human Resources:
    • Supervise staffing, budgeting, and supply inventory management.
    • Oversee recruitment, development, performance reviews, and, if necessary, disciplinary actions for regional staff.
    • Develop and implement educational and training programs for staff.
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting:
    • Contribute to the development of annual business plan objectives.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to the President and Board of Directors.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the President or Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Membership with The College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years in Nuclear Medicine, including significant supervisory experience.
    • Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities.
Working Conditions:
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Normal physical activity associated with an office and clinical environment.
  • Work Environment:
    • Regular visits to operation sites with exposure to Nuclear Medicine conditions, adhering to CNSC policies and procedures.
    • Flexibility in working hours may be required.
