Compensation
Salary Range $109,876 - $155,953 (Grade B)
Responsibilities
Selection, prioritization, and technical review of projects for MOW referral to the Capital Program. Supervise development and update of asset information for capital decision making including Capital Revolving Fund projects. Supervise project coordinators to oversee planning, design and construction of capital contracts including, track, signals, traction power, communications, structure, facilities, and infrastructure for rapid transit assets. Evaluate capital projects for constructability, maintainability, safety, structural integrity and conformance with requirements, policies and standards while assuring constructed work fulfills user needs and requirements. Provide for inspection, testing and evaluation of completed work, contractor access and protections, evaluation of punch-list work, and recommendation for approval or denial of beneficial use and final acceptance. Provide direct support required to keep the NYCT system operational during construction. This position requires the ability to respond to emergencies and other critical occurrences 24/7.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering: and eight (8) years of full time related experience, and four (4) years of supervisory experience., or a satisfactory equivalent in education or experience.
A valid New York State Professional Engineer (P.E) License is preferred.
Desired Skills
Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Managerial experience and knowledge and experience of large-scale capital construction projects.
Selection Method
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll
