Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Hospice Physician to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Responsibilities

Summary:
Makes all professional medical judgments in care of patients seen

Responsibilities:
  • Assumes the attending role for hospice patients in the community and in Presbyterian hospice units, unless followed by their PCP.
  • As a consultant, works with patient and family to develop a recommended plan of care supports appropriate medical treatment in concordance with the patients goals of care.
  • Uses clinical skills to relieve the suffering of patients and their families.
  • Provides support and oversight of the work of the hospice care team RN, APN or PAs direct patient care activities, as required by Medical Staff Bylaws.


Other information:
MD/DO in a primary medical field appropriate to ABHPM standards. Prefer fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine expected within 2 years of employment.
