Position SummaryThe Network Engineer will have hands-on responsibility for our development and production networking environments. The incumbent will perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting and operational support of all network components including security appliances and devices with limited supervision. An active Top-Secret clearance is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides recommendations on architectural changes and design enhancements to the network infrastructure to improve reliability and performance, reduce cost, and accommodate projected growth
  • Maintain, manage and document IP network design and allocation
  • Designs, architects documents and provides support for network security by managing firewalls, IPS and ACLs on all network equipment
  • Designs, architects, documents and provides support of Routers, Switches, Security Solutions, VPNs, and
  • Network Management Solutions across LAN/WAN
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of company network standards and the overall regional and global network environments
  • Responsible for configuring and maintaining a proactive Network Monitoring System leveraging existing tools in order to maintain and track Network metrics
  • Performs ongoing network fine tuning, upgrades and enhances to optimize Network performance, availability, stability and security
  • Conducts analysis of network characteristics, troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions that create a highly available and redundant networks
  • Trains and provides knowledge transfer to team members as needed

Experience
  • Top Secret clearance required. Experience as an ISSM demonstrates a deep understanding of information security management principles and practices, making such candidates highly sought after for this position.
  • The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. CISSP (or Associate) Certification required or equivalent IAM Level 3 (CISM, GSLC, CCISO). Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility by embracing change; adapting communication style to setting; investigating and implementing alternate approaches to resolve difficult problems
  • Experience with the following HW and SW a plus:
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with enterprise-level firewall technologies is required. Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and their capabilities is strongly preferred, Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting VPN solutions is essential. Familiarity with GlobalProtect is a significant advantage, Proven experience in managing and maintaining large-scale wireless networks is essential. In-depth knowledge of Enterasys wired and Aruba wireless switches is highly preferred, OSPF and BGP routing protocol, NetSight Console and Policy Manager

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences field from an accredited college or university. Relevant education/experience in the appropriate technical & management areas may be considered as a substitute for formal education.
