The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, excellent troubleshooting skills, and an analytical mindset. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, Fortinet firewalls, and Dell storage systems, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Top Skills & Requirements:
Experience:
- 3-5 years in a Networking Admin/Engineer role.
- Experience configuring Cisco switches and networking equipment.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls.
Technical Proficiency:
- Network: Cisco/Fortinet, Firewalls, SD-WAN, MDF/IDF.
- Experience with Dell PowerMax and DataDomain systems.
- Experience or involvement in a datacenter overhaul or rebuild.
Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a process-disciplined approach.
- Effective communication skills with peers, customers, and management.
- Organized, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture and set long-term goals.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology to deliver results.
- Great intangibles: eagerness to learn, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-player mentality.
Technical Environment:
User and Server Environment:
- 3500 users and approximately 300 servers within the environment (Windows Server 2008-2022).
Network Infrastructure:
- Cisco routers and switches (models 5200, 5400).
- SD-WAN technology integrated with Fortinet hardware.
- Two data centers in operation.
Storage Systems:
- Dell PowerMax and Dell DataDomain systems used for backup, including camera systems.
- Network Attached Storage and 3 VMware ESXI servers.
Cloud Integration:
- Hybrid environment with some applications transitioning to the cloud within the Azure environment.
