Global Mobility Engineer Sr Manager
This candidate will be designated as the Senior Lead Engineer on the Global Mobility team. They will have oversight into the build out of the new centralized mobile device management (MDM) platform, global scaling, app testing and deployment process. The candidate must be able to delegate responsibilities to direct reports and remain focused on program target initiatives. Maintaining documentation, diagrams and ensuring the environment is within RTX compliance mandates. Continue to focus on current and future trends in the mobile device space while being a visionary to ensure the security of the mobile device environment.

Global Mobility Engineer Sr Manager

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team that is responsible for ensuring the 7x24x365 uptime of the Global Mobility fleet
- Interface with business unit representatives to develop the next generation mobility requirements and identify opportunities to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in development of a world class technical mobility strategy.
- Work with Corporate IT lines of service leads to insure foundational support for mobility and an ever-expanding mobile workforce in the areas of network, security, Active Directory, and collaborative technologies.
- Interface with Corporate and BU Application development and support groups to champion and support strategic mobile application development and deployment.
- Conduct research on innovative, productivity-enabling technology solutions and develop business cases to propose high performance, cost effective opportunities to meet business requirements. Bring these innovative technologies to a production ready state and coordinate RTX global introduction.
- Interface with Corporate Enterprise Architect Team and BU Application development and support groups to champion and support strategic mobile application development and deployment.
- Plan, design, implement and manage multiple technology projects to support business requirements.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with suppliers of strategic information technology products and/or services.
- Create and maintain technical documentation include architectural designs
- Ensure a best in class operating environment
- Adhere and comply with RTX Cyber Security requirements
- Submit proper environment changes in timely manner to minimize environmental impact
Experience/Qualifications:
- 8+ years work experience within a large enterprise environment preferred
- Three or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, and staffing
- Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts
- Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex, dynamic environments where agile was applied at scale
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
- Experience in large corporate server rollout and support
- Experience in Large scale enterprise project management
- Good time management with an ability to work on a number of projects and tasks concurrently setting own agendas and effectively prioritizing work
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of VMWare Workspace 1, MobileIron, Microsoft Intune environments
- Knowledge of conditional access and application protection policies
- Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices
- Strong understanding of iOS and Android OS
- Ability to travel.
- Availability to provide On Call support out of normal working hours on a rotational basis.
