This position is for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who is ready to own and drive the test process in a manufacturing plant environment. The candidate will have the responsibility to independently maintain test equipment uptime, test area turnaround time, test yield issues, develop tooling, implement projects to improve safety, quality, velocity & cost issues related to the test area. The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic, and adaptable with a positive can-do attitude who can work with both hourly employees and management to support a high-paced production environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Take leadership role in driving actions in the development, planning & implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for Test yield issues during product testing.
  • Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.
  • Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA etc.
  • The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations, and recommendations.
  • Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability, quality & safety performance.
  • Generate and maintain project schedules with understood dependencies, deliveries, and critical path
  • Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous improvement methods (ACE or the DMAIC model) and demonstrated use of their tools is desirable.
  • Exposure to working in Test environment & addressing Test equipment/process challenges.
  • Advanced Degree and a minimum 5+ years prior relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Project management is preferred
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.
  • Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred.
  • ACE/CORE/ 6 Sigma Practitioner/Professional certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Practical knowledge of project management.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
