Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking a Sr. Treasury Manager to join our talented team of engineers and scientists working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of five years of treasury management experience in supporting a treasury function and managing the organization's liquidity, cash flow, and financial risk management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in treasury management, and strategic financial planning. This role is crucial for optimizing cash resources, ensuring financial stability, and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Job Duties:
  • Cash Management: Oversee daily cash operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity management to ensure optimal cash levels are maintained.
  • Treasury Strategy: Develop and implement treasury strategies that align with corporate objectives, including cash management, investment strategies, and risk management.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks. Develop hedging strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Banking Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with domestic and global banking partners. Negotiate terms and manage credit facilities to optimize financial arrangements and support business needs.
  • Investment Management: Oversee short-term investments and funding arrangements, ensuring alignment with corporate risk and return profiles.
  • Partner Debt Management: Manage loans resulting from business partnerships or collaborations.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis and reporting. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Implement controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve treasury processes, including the integration of advanced financial systems and technologies.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or finance is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management or treasury services at a financial institution.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced knowledge of cash management, financial risk management, and debt management.
    • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
    • Proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS) and financial software.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing and developing teams and external relationships.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Salary Range: $101,000 - $162,000 annually
