Director, Firmware Engineering
As a critical member of our system department, the Director of firmware engineering is responsible for managing, performing and completing projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consult and coordinate with other engineering staffs to evaluate firmware
specifications and functions
Provide engineering support and respond to customer issues
Analyze customer issues and help hardware/firmware engineers to narrow down
issues
Co-work with cross-functional teams and vendors to achieve the best customer
satisfaction
Lead team members to achieve assigned tasks
Projects and functions as assigned by managers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering discipline
Minimum 17 years related experience in BIOS development with minimum of 5 years
in management role preferred
Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with
engineers of multiple disciplines
Excellent communication skills and management skills required
Demonstrates understanding of how to successfully work in cross-functional teams
and impacts to schedules
Solid understanding of PC hardware architecture, BMC, and Linux is required
Work independently and be self-motivated
Must be a team player, have passion for software development and have excellent
communication skills
