This position is for a professional with expertise in business and technical applications who works independently to analyze business systems and application needs, determine system capabilities, test, and configure systems, analyze system logic, and address functionality issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identifies and analyzes routine to moderately complex requirements of a business unit or department that can be fulfilled using information technology systems.
- Analyzes current business and technical processes for an assigned area to determine where system updates or new systems are needed.
- Coordinates with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of user acceptance testing.
- May assist with system testing and establish system techniques and controls.
- Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
- Analyzes existing system logic to assess alignment with the business unit or department needs.
- Collaborates with application development teams to analyze system functionality issues.
- Works to select, implement, develop, maintain, and support business systems and digital applications through understanding business processes and their implications and applying process improvement concepts for simplification and productivity to support business goals and objectives.
- Manages external vendors.
- Represents the business in enterprise/corporate initiatives.
- Sample roles include Applications Systems Analysis and Programming for business systems such as ERP/PLM/MES/CRM, Systems Architect, Business Application, or Relationship Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
- In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
- Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Must be a U.S. Person
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with SAP.
- A strong understanding of ERP systems/business processes
- Experienced with Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques
- Proficient with Office productivity tools (Excel and Word)
- Core competencies, including Action Orientation, Commitment to Continuous Improvement, Decision Making, Quality Ethics, Integrity, Values and Trust
- A friendly customer service attitude and strong attention to detail are a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing industry experience
- Familiarity with heritage UTAS SAP
- Experience with SAP Manufacturing, APO, Quality, MRO, Finance, and Security
- Experience with actual cost accounting
