Summary
The GCPM Project Controls Sr Manager provides cost control services support to Capital Projects organization. Using advance project controls techniques, manipulate data to support financial/analysis, and provide advice to Project Managers to support project schedules and budget objectives.

The GCPM Project Controls Sr Manager provides cost control services support to Capital Projects organization. Using advance project controls techniques, manipulate data to support financial/analysis, and provide advice to Project Managers to support project schedules and budget objectives.
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of project experience or Master's degree and 4 years of project experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of project controls experience or Associate's degree and 10 years of project experience experience or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of project experience experience.
- Ability to demonstrate experience with developing and implementing control systems for projects, planning and cost management.
- Experience in reporting/finance/accounting desired.
- Must understand the project controls concepts and the relationship among project delivery budgeting, cost forecasting, and scheduling.
- Experience using a variety of cost/schedule applications.
- Proven ability to implement new programs or practices designed to enhance services and values.
- Experience in successfully creating and maintaining effective partnerships with people from diverse backgrounds and areas of technical expertise.
- Experience preparing project control documents.
- Experience preparing a working unit operation's budget. Must have a broad working knowledge of project control methodology, cost estimating, scheduling, financial controls, project delivery tools and systems.
- Must have a broad working knowledge of management principles.
- Thorough knowledge of budgeting and cost management principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of the use and application of project controls systems and tools (e.g. Excel, Power bi, smart sheets).
- Understanding of the use and application of business information and reporting systems.
- Requires knowledge of principles and practices of sound business communication; correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Must have familiarity with financial and project management applications and the ability to learn other software systems as may be needed quickly.
