Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Program Manager at our Huntsville, AL site to join a team creating unique solutions for complex problems in the Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms Portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping our US Army DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center customer develop and test novel warhead and fuzing technology. In this mission we work closely with our government customer to design, develop and test fuzing systems as well as conduct tests to characterize warhead effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the planning, tracking, and executing of complex tasks within technical, schedule, and budget constraints. Projects will involve diverse technology areas including electronics, payload integration, and system integration. In addition, candidate will be responsible for generating management reports, briefing senior leaders on project status, and maintaining a healthy business rhythm to ensure contract deliverables, program reviews, and other artifacts are continuously improved.
In addition, you will be responsible for responding to proposals and generating basis of estimates for pricing activities. Additionally, candidate will work closely with the customer to understand requirements and ensure proper resources are in place to execute contract while forecasting future needs.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience in project management/execution or Masters with at least 6 years of experience.
Must have demonstrated the ability in leading and executing tasks while working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Minimum of 4 years experience supervising or leading a team by setting expectations and holding them accountable
Must be a US citizen and be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama,orbe willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications.
Experience with executing DoD projects
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
Strong technical background
