Position Summary

The Account Manager is accountable for driving value delivery, fostering relationships, and facilitating overall account growth for BHI's products and services with participating BCBS Plans and key external partners. This role demands a robust consultative approach, prioritizing relationship building and growth. The ideal candidate possesses experience in cultivating relationships with healthcare payers and is knowledgeable in analytic and data science solutions, as well as health plan operations such as care management, medical economics, provider relations/network management, and enterprise reporting.

The Account Manager will leverage their industry expertise to define and measure value delivery, ensure client success in utilizing BHI's products and services, and support overall account growth objectives, including revenue targets.

Job Responsibilities:

Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client deliverables, building strong and enduring relationships and instilling client confidence.
  • Conduct and lead regular and scheduled client meetings to assess client satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for additional value.
  • Facilitate problem resolution by identifying trends negatively impacting customer experience and escalate to the proper channels for root cause analysis.


Client Engagement
  • Understand client's business needs, goals and challenges and how products are being used to meet business objectives.
  • Acts as the primary interface with clients in the delivery and use of existing BHI products and services, ensuring timely addressing of open issues, escalating issues where necessary, communicating between client and internal development/operations teams, proactively monitoring client use of products and services, and identifying opportunities to document client value realization.
  • Organize and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews, coordinating logistics, agenda, presenters and overseeing development of presentation and follow ups.
  • Oversight for ongoing production monthly release schedules and statement of work/project management delivery timeframes.

Account Growth and Collaboration
  • Support SOW process for expansion of existing products/projects.
  • Support contract management and renewals for existing contracts.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of BHI products and roadmap.

Communication and Coordination
  • Lead regular client meetings and check-ins to review reports, metrics, project status, changes, and new opportunities, ensuring alignment with business goals and satisfaction.
  • Interface with client at all levels, demonstrating flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism.
  • Understand and deliver on all reporting and contractual obligations promptly and accurately.
  • Support scheduling and facilitation of product training for clients.


Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in healthcare sales, management, or relevant role in industry. Preferably in data analytics and/or software solutions
  • Experience using analytical problem solving and leveraging data tools to provide market data and customer specific recommendations
  • Perform basic to moderate quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while efficiently managing priorities
  • Demonstrate familiarity within key areas for Health Plans including but not limited to: CMS, Fully and Self-Insured, Medicare Advantage, ACA, Value Based Care, Social Determinants of Health, Network Design and Optimization, and Healthcare Price Transparency
