  • Job Summary


  • The Revenue Manager is a salaried, exempt, supervisory position. It is their responsibility to play the role of gatekeeper of all room inventory and room rates across all distribution channels.

  • Essential Job Functions


  • Maximize overall hotel revenue through development and implementation of effective transient/group inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts.
  • Formulate and deploy transient/group inventory restrictions and pricing strategies. Consult with Sales Manager(s) on rate/inventory suitability of all potential group business.
  • Analyze End of Month Reports and put together Revenue Management Recap.
  • Manage group block activity. Responsible for management of group cutoff dates, monitoring group block
    activity (i.e., pickup, wash).
  • Facilitate and lead Weekly Yield Meetings in accordance with standards.
  • Interact on a daily basis with the Sales Department and guide the selling strategy
  • Manage/monitor Central Reservations System and Global Distribution Systems to maintain consistency with
    property level inventory strategies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly occupancy and revenue forecasts. Assist in preparation of annual budget and
    Sales and Marketing Plan.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/managers.


  • Education, Experience and Skill Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a hotel revenue position.
  • Must be highly analytical and understand statistics and market conditions.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational, written, and verbal skills.
  • Must be able to interact efficiently and professionally with a diverse group of people, i.e., potential guests, guests, management, and staff.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to follow through with action items
  • Must be able to problem-solve and make practical decisions.
  • In depth understanding of Opera PMS and revenue management systems
  • Previous exposure to Leading hotels of the World is a plus.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with third party channels: OTA and FIT/Wholesale
  • Meet deadlines as required, even in high-pressure situations.
