The DT R&D team is looking for seeking a highly motivated Solutions Manager, to take on the role of leading key Digital Technology strategies for a R&D facility focused on the manufacturing maturation of ceramic matrix composite (CMC) turbine components. Through successful development and application of these materials, P&W will deliver engines that are more fuel efficient, lighter weight and more durable for commercial and military applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the joint interests of Carlsbad business and enterprise DT objectives - being the voice of the customer/partner on both sides.
• Being the go-to person for all operational and strategic initiatives for Carlsbad R&D as well as ensuring visibility into DT strategies.
• Lead the adoption and deployment of Manufacturing solutions, such as MES, MBDMI and ERP solutions in line with Enterprise DT policies.
• Align with enterprise strategies and lead the adoption for the CMC digital thread- a comprehensive data collection, analysis, and visualization system.
• Drive big data analytics projects to identify trends and relationships within the digital thread to improve processes and predict component life based on process data and field conditions (Digital Twin).
• Provide updates to DT leadership on key aspects of local business DT components.
• Support enterprise-wide DT initiatives and serve as POC for all local DT implementations.
• Work with key business leaders to understand specific DT requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into a solution design primarily across multiple manufacturing applications and enterprise applications.
• Understand key applications usage for the business and serve as liaison to subject matter experts across the enterprise.
• Work with other PW DT disciplines to ensure coordinated project delivery to meet business priorities.
• Work with PW and outsourced resources to develop solutions supporting business objectives.
• Document local DT processes & procedures and ensure audit compliance.
• Address facility & business transformation requirements.
• Perform budget & investment planning for Digital Technology needs.
• Management of components of DT software life cycle development processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with 10+ years of relevant experience i n Software and IT Systems OR advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship required due to government contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Sciences discipline
• Experience working in manufacturing environments.
• Previous experience managing & deploying enterprise solutions
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
• Excellent customer service skills required providing a high level of service to satisfy/fulfill internal or external needs accurately in a timely manner.
• Strong written/verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels.
• Must be able to work independently with limited direction to accomplish goals and have the ability to recognize areas for process improvement & formulate actionable plans to address such areas.
• Ability to interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.
• Data Modeling - good understanding of relational and non-relational data stores.
• Business Logic - object oriented skills and knowledge of frameworks.
• User Experience - have a good understanding of how users of the application want to work.
• Automated Processes - ability to write /define unit tests, automated build, test, run.
• Knowledge of ERP & MES technical design, development, deployment and extensions.
• Server, Network, and Hosting Environment - appropriate use of file system, cloud storage, network resources.
