POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operational Key Account Manager to manage and oversee the domestic transport operations for one of our key accounts. In this role, you will be the primary liaison between the client and our internal teams, ensuring that their logistics needs are met with efficiency, accuracy, and a high standard of service. You will be responsible for end-to-end management of the account's domestic transport operations, from planning and execution to reporting and continuous improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a key point of contact for the client, ensuring a strong, collaborative relationship.
  • Understand the client's logistics needs and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.
  • Communicate regularly with the client to provide updates on shipments, resolve any issues, and proactively address potential disruptions.
  • Oversee the daily domestic transport operations for the assigned key account, ensuring on-time deliveries and compliance with service agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage the dispatch, routing, and scheduling of domestic shipments for the client.
  • Ensure all shipments are executed in line with the client's specific requirements, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee the daily domestic transport operations for the assigned key account, ensuring on-time deliveries and compliance with service agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage the dispatch, routing, and scheduling of domestic shipments for the client.
  • Ensure all shipments are executed in line with the client's specific requirements, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the client to develop cost-effective transport solutions while maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with the key account's transport activities, identifying opportunities for cost savings without sacrificing quality or reliability.
  • Anticipate potential transport or logistical issues and resolve them proactively before they impact the client.
  • Handle any operational disruptions quickly and efficiently, ensuring that the client is informed of the steps taken to resolve the issue and minimize any delays.
  • Ensure that all transport activities for the client comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a focus on quality control, ensuring all shipments meet the client's standards for accuracy, safety, and timeliness.


EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in domestic transport operations, logistics, or freight forwarding.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with a client-centric mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess performance data and implement improvements.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of domestic transport regulations, compliance, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to manage the transport needs of a single high-profile account with precision and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle operational challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and build trust with both clients and internal teams.
  • Strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
