Overview
As a Systems Security Threat Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating threats to AFRL systems and networks. You will work with a team of security professionals to develop and implement strategies to protect against cyberattacks and other security threats. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and for conducting ongoing assessments of the DoD's security posture.

You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and for conducting ongoing assessments of the DoD's security posture.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing assessments of the systems and networks to identify potential security threats
- Analyze threat intelligence data to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement strategies to protect against cyberattacks, malware, and other security threats
- Collaborate with other security professionals to design and implement security controls, processes, and procedures
- Participate in security incident response activities and investigations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and advise management on their potential impact on the DoD's security posture
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate DoD personnel on security best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems security threat analysis, preferably in a DoD environment
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and VPNs
- Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks, such as NIST and ISO
- Experience with threat intelligence tools and techniques, including malware analysis and reverse engineering
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active Secret clearance or above
- Active Security+ (or 8570 equivalent)
