Job Description

Riceland Foods is hiring a Process Manager. The Process Manager is responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of Area's 3 &4 Deodorization, Hydrogen Gas Plant, as well as all associated tank farms and pits. The Process Manager is responsible for scheduling, operations, personnel management, training, maintenance coordination, supplies coordination, sanitation, GMP's & SQF compliance.

Job Duties
Maintain a safe work area for all employees ensuring employees have necessary PPE and training to perform all tasks safely.
Scheduling of employees including use of PTO, to minimize cost and maximizing efficiencies and production.
Train all employees on all items as outlined in Mandatory Training Program Policy.
Develop employees to improve operation efficiencies, bleaching yields, reduce loss and maximize operations.
Foster and maintain a healthy work environment while maintaining a professional appearance.
Develop employees to understand and improve sanitation practices ensuring sanitary working conditions.
Enter E-Maint request and work closely with maintenance managers to complete necessary repairs, minimizing downtime, while maintaining proper care of equipment.
Process manager will learn all aspects of Deodorization and Gas Plant Operation.
Operate the Deodorizer and Gas Plant at lowest cost while maintaining highest production rates and producing in spec, quality refined oil.
Inspect all deodorizer drop valves daily for proper operation, checking for leaks or other operational issues.
Daily review and approval of nitrogen and hydrogen usage.
Maintain sanitary condition in all assigned areas complying with food safety and quality requirements to meet and or exceed corporate, customer, regulatory, third party or other standards.
Maintain Deodorizer pits, tank farms, filter room and Rito tank farm, including daily walk throughs of each area. All tanks should be checked including observation of all tank opening, lids, etc.
Weekly inspections of all areas for leaks.
Daily inspection of the three cell cooling towers and deodorizer cooling tower.
Daily inspection of nitrogen and hydrogen storage tanks.
Maintain gas plant storage areas.
Maintain and support cleaning schedules for all related areas.
Walk with auditors on all inspections and audits in the areas.
Provide necessary response for all corrective actions for audits and inspections.
Management of supplies, processing aids, associated product inventories.
Scheduling of deodorization and gas plant operations to match sales demands, best utilize associated tank space and minimize expense.
Evaluate supplies and processing aid use, making recommendations to reduce overall consumption while maximizing efficiencies and run rates.
Review all departmental documents, logs, worksheets, ERP data and other information for accuracy in a timely, effective manner.
Work with vendors, engineers and other subject matter experts to gain knowledge and experience to improve operational efficiencies and production.
Work with SSD staff as needed for safe, efficient and effective division operations.
Lead efforts in trouble shooting production opportunities.
Other duties may be assigned.

Operational Budget Responsibility : >$2,500,000 Annually

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, or related field, with 1-3 years of experience, or significant experience in related fields.
